My name is Kriston, 32 and live in Malta.
Born on the Isle of Man, my interests obsessed on tarmac and motorbikes. Since the age of 16 I have owned and ridden: MZ 125, Yamaha TZR 125, Cagiva Mito 125 and finally a Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace. My hobbies were usually of distraction but interesting ones, the most interesting was DJing.
Riding around the coast many many times it didn't really come to mind to try and snorkel in the cold Irish Sea.

Eventually I decided to buy an old wetsuit for £18 and jumped in the sea. It was like peering into a different world - but without fish.
Malta
With the bank branch closing on the Isle of Man as a result of the 2008 financial turmoil, I decided to move to Malta with my Maltese girlfriend for a new experience. Best decision of my life thus far - the sea is alot warmer and full of fish.Tajjeb Hafna!
Hunting
The next step in my journey should be to try catch a fish with a harpoon / speargun, fishing rods are so 1990s! Having never been in a fight (well actually once and the latter of 'fight or flight' kicked in), to catch a fish and to present to my lady would confirm my status as a man. Eating a Yorkie and subjecting the lady to a dutch oven was only a short-term boost.

Wetsuit, fins, snorkel and mask would cost about £300 which I already had, So, the above upgrades costing about £300, what you would expect when upgrading to something technical...
Parts were purchased and while waiting I decided to have a look further to see how this alternative form of fishing was done. Plenty of Youtubes, websites and forums later realised this sport requires alot more thought and strength for these bad ass boy arms!
